It is not very often you are presented with a chance to be first! The first alumni committee of this prestigious university will have both an opportunity and a responsibility. The opportunity to lay a strong foundation that will last generations of students who will reap the riches of a strong alumni network. The responsibility of establishing a culture of cooperative federalism between the university alumni committee and the school alumni committee.
It is my honor and privilege to assume the position of the founding president of this committee and work shoulder to shoulder along with you. Your rich experience, enthusiasm and commitment will be invaluable as we embark on this mission.
No idea is off the table, all initiatives are welcome. We must carry everyone along but not at the cost of speed.
