Sandipani is the boys hostel building that is spread over 1,53,000 sq.ft across 11 floors. The hostel accommodates 683 boys on double and triple sharing basis.

Note : Entire hostel building and its surrounding is under the surveillance of CCTV cameras.
Management reserves right to change the Hostel fees and Rule & Regulation anytime during the year without prior notice

  • Seat will be allotted on a first-come-first-served basis, which will be scrutinised from student application list we get from hostel portal
  • Students applying for loans for the hostel fees are requested to wait until College/Institute confirms opening of the hostel.

General Rules
  • Hostel timings are from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
  • Students must maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the hostel.
  • Littering is prohibited and may result in a fine of up to ₹2,000.
  • Students cannot leave the hostel without permission.
Discipline and Conduct
  • Late reporting to the hostel will result in a ₹1,000 fine and require prior approval.
  • Ragging, sexual harassment, smoking, and substance abuse are strictly prohibited.
  • Non-vegetarian food is not allowed in the hostel.
  • Students must respect hostel property and pay fines if any damage is incurred by the student.
Facilities Usage
  • Students must follow mess timings and rules.
  • Night mess usage requires prior permission.
  • Laundry and gym facilities are available for student use.
  • Student activity rooms can be used from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Personal Responsibilities
  • Pets are not allowed in the hostel.
  • Students are permitted to play low music in their rooms, provided it does not disturb the hostel atmosphere until 11:00 PM.
  • Students must maintain their room's cleanliness.
  • Maintenance issues must be reported promptly on website maintenance.somaiya.edu and CC to Warden.
Penalties & Disciplinary Actions
  • Misconduct or damages may result in fines.
  • Repeated offenses may lead to expulsion from the hostel.
  • Surprise room inspections may be conducted.
Additional Rules
  • Displaying notices requires prior permission.
  • Birthday celebrations are allowed with permission.
  • Students must take prior permission before getting an extra fan or cooler with extra charges applicable.
  • Non-hostel students/friends are not allowed in rooms; First offense: ₹5,000 fine, Repeated offense: Expulsion.
