Eligibility:

1. Post-graduate: Masters degree or equivalent in relevant subjects from a UGC recognized University with at least 60% marks.

OR

2. 4-year bachelor’s degree: Only candidates holding 4-year/8-semester degree in BTech, BE, MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, Pharma D, BPharm, or equivalent courses, with a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent, and who have qualified in UGC/GATE/CAT etc or an equivalent National Exam with a valid scorecard, are eligible.
3. Age below 30 years as of 1/01/2024

Selection Criteria: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their outstanding academic credentials, selected through SVU entrance exam and a one-on-one interaction to evaluate their research aptitude, subject knowledge, and communication skills.

 Candidates qualified in GATE/UGC NET/ CSIR-UGC NET/ GPAT/ DBT-JRF or any other national test are exempted from SVU entrance exam.

Details of Fellowship: Qualified candidates shall receive a monthly fellowship of INR 41,000 for the first two years and INR 45,000 for the 3rd, 4th, & 5th years.

Annually, candidates shall be evaluated for specific qualifications, and the scheme will continue ONLY upon satisfactory performance.

PhD Registration: The candidates admitted to the full-time research positions shall subsequently register for the doctoral degree programme of Somaiya Vidyavihar University under the supervision of a recognised supervisor, following the Somaiya Vidyavihar University PhD regulations.
