Job Description

 

Qualification:

  • M.Phil/Ph.D. in a relevant field with experience in working in Higher Educational Institutions/Universities. 
  • Postgraduate with ~10 years experience in doing Research as well as working in Higher Educational Institutions/Universities. 

Required Experience:

  • Research: demonstrated with a track record of publications in peer-review journals and/or leading funded research projects.
  • Research Governance/Administration: Drafting research and PhD related policies, developing and overseeing PhD and research programs at a university or research institution.
  • Funding and Grants Management: Experience in writing research grants, managing grants/funds from external sources, interfacing with stakeholders for PhD fellowships, and Govt organisations for grant related activities, coordinating with Accounts teams for budgets and research grants schemes.
  • Research Promotion and Collaboration: Promoting research initiatives, fostering research culture, organising research meets/events, developing rewards and recognition schemes to encourage researchers and communicating research accomplishments in Newsletters, Social media etc.

Job Description:

  • Assist Dean Research with BRAC, Preparation of policies, proposals and reports, coordinate Research Seed funding/incentives, Annual Research meet coordinate.
  • Spearhead coordination/tutoring of refresher and orientation courses in research publication, ethics, proposal writing.
  • Create and update a database of industries/funding bodies that research faculty can attend.
  • Build strong connections with Industrial for research, consultancy and CSR activities.
  • Coordinate with IPR agencies for IPR filing and the Legal team for MoU preparation.
  • Developing content  for University's Research Information systems.

Key Skills

  • Knowledge of Working of Higher Educational Institutions/Universities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Drives etc.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Networking capabilities and Proactive in nature.
