Shabib Khan joined K.J.Somaiya College of Science and Commerce as an Assistant Professor in Microbiology on 18th December 2013.
Right from the first day, it has been a learning experience for him and he strongly believes that every day teaches something new.
Teaching is his passion and at the same time, he is interested in Research in Microbiology- to explore and understand the world of Biosurfactants obtained from Halophilic bacteria and fungus and to study their applications.
He has attended several Seminars, Workshops, and Conferences in the field of Microbiology and related fields to enhance his subject knowledge.
He believes that to achieve success one must "NEVER GIVE UP."

Flipped Learning:
Adopt Flipped Learning pedagogy in teaching, learning, and evaluation. Content is shared with the students beforehand and the classroom session is made interactive by an active discussion which motivates the students and enables them to think critically. E-books, power-point presentations, research papers, and educational videos all aid in the execution of Flipped learning pedagogy.
Collaborative Learning Strategies: Adopted for some of the sessions where the students are given a task to work on and complete in a group. This enables them to know how to work in a group with a common target and understand the importance of time management.
Use of Edmodo as a Learning Management System (LMS):
Edmodo: It is an educational technology offering a communication, collaboration, and coaching platform to teachers in schools and Colleges. Edmodo network enables teachers to share content, distribute quizzes, and assignments and manage communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
