Dr. Rinku Jain is a Professor in the Business Analytics Department at K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, with over 24 years of experience in research and academia. She holds a Ph.D. from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, and her research interests encompass Mathematics, Business Analytics, Financial & Marketing Analytics, and Sustainable Consumer Behavior.
Dr. Jain has expertise in subjects such as Business Statistics, Predictive Analytics, Time Series Analysis, Forecasting Models, Optimization Techniques, and Data-Driven Decision-Making. She actively integrates statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and real-world business applications into her teaching, leveraging software tools such as R, Python, JMP, SPSS, Excel, AMOS, SmartPLS, and Tableau for data analysis, visualization, and decision-making.
She currently serves as the Convocation Chairperson and Division In-charge for the BADS Minor course and is also a Ph.D. guide at Somaiya Vidyavihar University. Additionally, she is a member of the Board of Studies (BOS) for the Business Analytics Department, contributing to curriculum development and academic advancements in the field.
Dr. Jain has an extensive research portfolio, having published in ABDC, ABS, Web of Science, and Scopus-indexed national and international journals. Her recent research focuses on the SERVQUAL model in higher education, green purchase behavior, and the impact of promotions on sustainable consumer choices. She has also explored the role of social media influencers and family dynamics in shaping consumer health consciousness and online purchasing decisions.
She has presented research papers at numerous national and international conferences, receiving Best Research Paper Awards for her impactful contributions. As part of her commitment to sustainability, she has aligned her five-year research plan with topics related to sustainable business practices and analytics-driven decision-making.
Beyond academia, Dr. Jain has designed and facilitated corporate training programs for organizations such as Godrej & Boyce, NSE, BSE, NISM, INS Hamla, Mahindra & Mahindra, among others.

Dr. Jain has actively participated in numerous Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and workshops, enhancing her expertise in data analytics, research methodologies, and pedagogy. She has attended international workshops on Tableau Visualization and Storytelling (2021) at K J Somaiya institute of Management, along with national-level training on Comprehensive Time Series forecasting (IIM Shillong, 2022). Her research skills are strengthened through workshops on mediation, moderation, and conditional process analysis (SkillsEdge, 2023), mixed-methods research, netnography, and digital ethnography. She has also engaged in big data analytics for qualitative research, predictive and prescriptive analytics using open-source software, and finance case study workshops. Additionally, she has completed training on NAAC accreditation processes, grant writing skills, and case teaching & writing, further solidifying her academic and research acumen.
