Dr. Priya T. Hankare joined   at K. J. Somaiya Institute of Engg. & Information Technology as an Assistant Professor in Electronics and Telecommunication Department in 2012. She has done BE (Electronics ) & ME ( ELECTRONICS)  from  Walchand College of Engineering , Sangli , affiliated to Shivaji University.  Now Persuing PhD. from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Matunga Mumbai, through Quality Improved Program

She has 15 years of teaching experience.

Before joining this institute she was working at Don Bosco Institute of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunication Department where she developed laboratory for Digital Design Subject. She was also involved in the academic and administrative work carried out in the department.

She has taught various subjects such as Wave Shaping Techniques, Electronic Devices and Circuits,  Linear Integrated Circuits, Mobile Communication Systems, Internet Communication Engineering, Computer Communication Networks, Wireless Networks, Signals and systems, Basic Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Radar Engineering,Discrete Time Signal Processing  etc.

She is  Life member of ISTE and a student member of IEEE.

She has published and presented  various  papers in national and international conference and journals. She has participated in many Short Term Training Programs (STTP) organized  in various colleges .

She has received the grant of Rs. 40,000/-  for Minor Research Project "Fast Detection of Circumscribed Mass in Mammograms Employing Radial basisFunction Neural Network (RBFNN) in the year 2013-2014 from university of Mumbai.

She has received the grant of Rs. 30,000/-  for Minor Research Project  " Processing of Infrared Thermal Images for Early Breast Cancer Detection using Color Image Analysis  " in the year 2017-2018 from university of Mumbai.

She is a member of  committees viz Research and Development cell , University Affiliation etc.

She is also an Independent Reiki healer.
