A DEVICE FOR PREPARING LIQUID/SEMISOLID JAGGERY FROM THE SUGARCANE JUICE
The conventional jaggery-making process utilizes tons of bagasse for boiling sugar cane juice which releases pollutants into the atmosphere and high particulate matter from these emissions causes air pollution. Which can impact the respiratory health of sugar factory workers and local populations. The burning of bagasse could lead to the generation of millions of tons of fly ash annually called bagasse fly ash (BFA) which is another big problem. This bagasse ash is lightweight and carries the potential to cause air pollution in the form of suspended particles in fog and smog. Current invention provides a device for preparing liquid/semisolid jaggery from sugarcane juice. It doesn’t require heating. This solved the environmental issues related to burning of bagasse and aid in pollution control. Secondly the bagasse can be used in many industries including the paper and furniture making industry and reduce wood cutting. The ice generated is another economic product.
