Description

A solar powered air freshener would solve this problem by eliminating the need for electricity to power the device and the only requisite would be the sunlight. Moreover, the device will be completely wireless which would increase the placement accessibility of the product. This product can be very useful in public places which see a lot of Sun exposure such as temples, tourist sites, gardens, etc. In order to work on this, one needs to have knowledge about the Solar radiation available from the Sun, heat transfer by different phenomena like conduction, convection, and radiation, etc. When Solar Energy is incident on the device it would evaporate the fragrance producing sample placed within the device thus generating an aroma which would be soothing to the user. The rays of the Sun when incident on a Fresnel Lens would concentrate the radiation and allow it to pass via a setup of an Absorber Plate and Fins onto the fragrance producing substance kept inside. The expected outcome of this innovation is successfully designing and analyzing an Energy Efficient Solar Fragrancer.
