The importance of nurturing an innovative mindset and entrepreneurial skills in young Engineering students is underlined by many experts. Some of the colleges in India also have included Entrepreneurship courses in their curriculum. This paper discusses the experience of introducing and implementing an Entrepreneurship course as an open elective for engineering students in an autonomous college. The journey from identification of problem to business model was covered in an active learning environment. Various aspects such as ideation, customer satisfaction, and digital presence for fund generation were important elements of the course. Student’s participation and response was very encouraging leading to formation of a campus company in sample cases. The course promoted multidisciplinary team activities. The experience of designing and implementing this course has been extended to start of a minor program in Entrepreneurship from Academic year 2021-22.
