Context: There have been several studies focusing on green supplier development and green procurement activities. However, there is a lack of usage of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approaches for some of the green procurement activities. Purpose Of The paper: The purpose of this paper is to present the complete research proposal to develop a model based on MCDM method for analyzing green procurement activities. Research Methodology: As a part of Research methodology the extensive literature survey is carried out for recent and most relevant publications from reputed journals. Research gaps are identified, Central Research theme is identified, Hypothesis statements are prepared, Problem statement is developed and refined based on experts’ interviews. Research Methodology Flowchart is prepared. Tools are identified for decision making. The research shows the need to develop the method and models for green supplier ranking and green procurement activities. Use of a novel hybrid MCDM approach to evaluate green supplier development activities enables managers in making complex investment decisions. This paper presents the research work to be done using Fuzzy DAMATEL, Fuzzy-AHP/ANP, and Fuzzy TOPSIS to deal with linguistic terms and complexity of Multi- Criteria Decision Making. Expected Findings: The research expects the Model to be developed for Green Supplier Development and ranking of the Green suppliers using MCDM. Limitations of Research: The hypotheses and the model developed needs to be tested. The final implications and validity of the model and hypotheses will be based on the results from testing of data. This research aims to deliver a model and methodology to meet the primary objective of modeling Green procurement and development of green suppliers.
