Cloud Computing (CC) is becoming one of the next industry buzz words and builds upon the advance of research in virtualization, distributed computing, grid computing and utility computing. The cloud computing environment provides a great flexibility and availability of computing resources, which opens a new era of e-services in some of the key areas of manufacturing, supply chain management, e-governance, e-learning etc. To understand issues of cloud design and manufacturing author has taken Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) case study. UAVs popularly known as drones are an emerging field of technology and currently communicate through Wi-Fi or RF. The former is short ranged whereas the latter has restrictions due to aviation department. This brings in the distance barrier, due to which many applications don’t find a way to be explored.
